People shite talking about hiaces

Depends on ages & seats your putting them in.

It’s the infant and toddler seats are the killer. If you’ve got two of them, could be tight.

Yep. Spot on.

Yeah, got ya. Is there a 7 seatar option in the RAV?

No, pal.

Sante Fe is the only option if it’s a SUV you want.

Or XC90. Problem with smaller 7-seater is the risk of carnage during rear impact (sorry for being morbid). You don’t have that boot space and it’s energy absorbing crumple zones.

Excellent point and very relevant.

A fair point I’ve made many times in relation to certain 7 seaters which is why i would always recommend a bigger Alahambra or VW Sharan. There is decent spacing between rear seat & rear of car.

Good to know. Mondeo is doing the job for now but will change at some stage.

Shit quality recording, but it covers the point I was making above.

Qashqai + 2 are basically the same seating arrangement as that Zafira. Yet women go nuts for them.

Bucket of shite. Mate of mine had the misfortune of being blessed with twins so had to go up in size. He hates his Alhambra.

I’m not sure any man ever dreamed of owning one of those alhambras.

A couple of lads in the same boat going around in discos. Fair old box of tricks I’d say.

The side of a car doesn’t offer much protection either.

Yup. I see them driving around with 2 kids sitting right in the back for the novelty factor, and I keep thinking of the fact that any sort of rear impact is going to be grim. First job out of college (where I studied the mechanics of impacts like that) saw me working in Germany a lot. An engineer working on the project with me wasn’t there one day… they said nothing and I never asked. 1 year later he appears back. He was stopped at a red light in his A8 when a drunk driver hit him at 60 mph. Back was broken and he had massive whiplash injuries. Lucky to be alive, thanks to the tank he was sitting in.

The wife drives one, nice enough car.

That reminds me of something from a few years ago.

If you rear ended it you would know all about it.

Not as big a problem obviously, but the same principle (or principal :grinning:).

Over in the states they are packaging the car loans and selling them on

We’ve literally learned nothing.

Fellas here should be aware that, sadly, if your car is rear ended with the kids in it, chances are, depending on speed, it’s not gonna end well, regardless of make or model.

Unless of course you’ve got a tank.

I’ve been contemplating a doublecab pick up. An Isuzu or somesuch. Would solve the problem, but wonder what anyone would think of the idea (@carryharry)
