In fairness to them… Bucko at the till asked me did I enjoy it and I said it tasted lovely but was fierce small portion for 12.95… He charged me 9.95 and didn’t charge for the coffee.
Yeah. Big win for Cork. At 17-15 I thought it was slipping away but last ten minutes you have to take hats off to lads whose desire and will was questioned.
God willing he will go. He was happy enough with Leinster final - thought Galway showed up and played well. I am off to post programme from Saturday to him now. Will be slightly mixed loyalties for me next day - would love him to see another Galway AI.
We’re not too far off the mark. Cunningham was well within his rights the tell Cody that he’d see him in September…This is his last hurrah and nothing short of an AI final win will save him so he’d nothing to lose.
The team need to learn from the mistakes made against KK if they are to beat Cork. Cork are bigger more physical outfit than 2012 which means serious hardship for our forwards.
Kilkenny were in second gear. Galway now have to gi to Thurles whick they fucking hate. Howerver if and it is a massive if, they can beat Cork, I would fancy them in Croker against Tipp.
Content more than happy. 3-4 consistant performances in the championship from Galway in the past 6 weeks. We’re in unknown territory here.
We never looked like beating KK but we kept ourselves hanging in there on a day where we made some woeful decision making when in possession… And the fact that we had such large amounts of possession in itself is a small victory.
A lot of hurling to come yet but I’d be reasonably confident we’ll show a consistent high level of work against Cork which gives us a decent platform to win the game if we make some better decision when in possession.
