The Waterford lads are alright. Dan comes across as attention seeking but to run into him going about your business there isn’t an ounce of harm in him and I agree he’s exactly what the young fellas need. Dan would still be a legend to these fellas. Maurice got a bit carried away with himself there yesterday and pulled a dirty stroke regardless of the circumstances. He should have been content with his own and the teams performance and let that speak for itself. Having had the pleasure of meeting Derek McGrath in the week after the Munster final I’m quite sure Maurice 's antics will be addressed. It just wouldn’t be McGrath style to let that carry on be acceptable.
I’d be in the Waterford camp if they beat us in the semi. Down through the years since 98 it’s the Waterford city supporters that tainted my view and support for the Deise, too many bandwagoners that hadn’t an ounce of GAA in them.
We’re you down for the Araglin carnival @Bandage? I believe numbers were down big time and there’s fears for the future of “The Dome” and the carnival itself. The “younger crowd” have it ruined apparently
Big Maurice V Rush… What’s the fuss about, if you goad the opposition surely you open yourself up to belt or two. Rushes only mistake was not to give it to him into the ribs. Bit amateur hitting a fella across the head… Especially if he is wearing a helmet.
Deed’n they’re not. There’s a scatter of them around Ballysaggart and Ballyduff but I’m fairly sure there’s none in Araglin. Sure nobody in Araglin knows where they are from. They could be shouting for Tipp/Waterford/ Cork at the same time. A dangerous place to be before a Munster final
I wouldn’t doubt it. There was a farmers daughter in Ballygunner who was the best hurler in the parish, but they made her give it up in her mid teens. She was one of the Whittys.
