Sets up another “rematch” more money more mugs to fleece
Thats it. To believe that carry on last night was legit is the same as believing that if you give money to one of these child welfare or animal protection ads on all over the place now that its not largely going into someones back pocket.
Tough going.
Back on the road on January 3rd. Belgium game is the day before the Munster semi final v Tipp/Cork which poses a logistical nightmare.
Far be it from me to defend that shite but Aldo was down on the ground flat out with his arms by his side and McGregor was pummeling his fist straight down onto his face. The ref was right to stop it
He’d barely had a punch in before the referee was making a beeline over, in any case I think the point being made is in relation to what is normally let go in these fights.
A McGregor win was good for the organisation.
There was something wrong with it. Alwayd judge it in your first clean look. I felt McGregor was slow to jump on which is cery unlike him. The ref also went in way faster than normally does.
The feel of it is all wrong. Aldo seemed depressed before the fight as well. It stinks.
Don’t really know much about it but apparently Aldo is always like that before the fight
That’ll be the HGH.
As i said, its knowing what we know about the UFC added to the feel of the whole thing.
McGregor is a freak athlete, lets not take that away, but he is of huge commercial value. And a really ready Aldo is a dangerous opponent. It just might be a rare thing that happens, or the ref was under orders to make most of any pressure on Aldo.
Think you’re being a bit overly sceptical there Kev.
I don’t think you can be too sceptical these days.
Was it Einstein ssid “believe only half of what you see and none of what you hear”
Whatever you reckon. I don’t for a second think it was a fix though. I don’t think you’re right about McGregor being slow to jump on him or that Aldo could have continued either, you’re grasping at straws Kev.
Aldo was definitely not afforded the same chance many other fighters are.
He’s probably being practising that reaction all week.
He was half conscious on the ground with McGregor smashing down on his face. It was stopped for his own good
