Places in Ireland that are not really Irish

Lock this thread! That place is the new hippyville.

Rathkeale.
One half travellers, one half german palatines

Knocktopher

FYP. +1 on Cloughjordan.

Tipp town.

The fucking twilight zone is more Irish than this place, the last refuge of outer Mongolians.

Bandon, Portlaw, Cobh, Youghal, Kinsale, Annstown

[quote=“Mark Renton, post: 829170, member: 1796”]Tipp town.

Funnily enough I was only discussing Tipp town with a distinguished and highly experienced secondary school teacher last night*. He reckoned the inhabitants were the worst crowd of knacks in Ireland and were beyond all known education methods.

  • he may have strong Limerick leanings.

Wolfe Tone and Lord Edward Fitzgerald would be turning in their graves.

As would John Mitchell. Republican hero and Protestant slave trader.
