The problem with Arsenal is they always try to walk it in

What was Wenger thinking bringing Walcott in so early?

Has Joe canning been mentioned recently?
I can’t be arsed to scroll back.
That Polish lad janousek?? who was going to save manyoo.

Baggio certainly and Ronaldo to a lesser degree did not rely on great jumping or power. Ronaldo had power, and speed but they were not his only qualities.

Falcao was heavily reliant on his ability in the air (and this may in fact have been the downfall injury wise) but that may take longer to get back to. It is trainable but its alot harder to get or regain that strength or speed.

Ronaldo was never the same after his first injury. He was still the best around because he was a phenomenon up there with Maradona but only ever reached about 80% of his pre injury powers.

Baggio’s knee problems happened when he was a teen. Who knows how good he could have been, what he achieved with his gammy knees was remarkable and a testament to his spirit and character. Baggio was a player whose game was very dependent on his ability to change direction which certainly has a big impact on your knee.

Falcao’s downfall injury wise was trying to make a comeback less than 6 months after having major knee surgery the dumb bollix.

I would guesstimate he was pushed. Have seen it before and very recently. Managers put huge pressure on medical staff and players.
6 minths is not enough for that level of competition. Its Elite sport ffs.

The story at the time was defied all team medics and his own docs to try and get fit to play for the world cup, turned up at pre tournament training in Bogota completely unannounced.

Fair enough. So 't know the in’s and out’s. If true he could have his contract cancelled by the club.

Januzaj was very good for Sunderland last week, he might yet be a player.

Undecided whether he ever had “it”, but whatever he had is currently absent.

Them clickbait sites were hyping him up to be a midfield maestro after he got 2 goals and 3 assists for some shit Dutch team last year. FWIW I saw him play for the u21s last year and he did seem good but that’s a totally different level to men’s football

He wouldn’t the first “creative type” to be blown out of all proportion by the Irish media, online or traditional. Still disappointing all the same. Hopefully the next move can suit him better.

Isn’t there some 5’4 Irish lad killing it for Reading?
They are absolutely certain to overdo it on him. Then some old school manager will come in cos Reading finished 7th and he’ll never again be seen.

Aaron Lennon is in a bit of bother

Police were called at around 4.35pm on Sunday, April 30, 2017 to reports of a concern for the welfare of a man. Officers attended and a 30-year-old man was detained under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act and was taken to hospital for assessment.

Everton have released the following statement about the player and his health:

Aaron Lennon is currently receiving care and treatment for a stress-related illness. The club is supporting him through this and his family has appealed for privacy at this time.

He never had it
