Pointless and boring is Messi great or not debate

That was the Peru number 6 clearly.

Yes mate, its actually 6

Its a free kick mate. A tiny percentage are scored. Of course when you’re trying to create things you’ll do some bad things too but he ended up creating 6 clear chances for teammates. Would you prefer if he just aimed his shots straight at the keeper so that they’d definitely go on target? I focus on 6 easier misses by teammates than the ones he had. Obviously, because I’m not completely mental

When’s the last time you watched Argentina mate?

How does the number manage to hit the post with his back turned to goal without hooking his foot in that way?

No, mate it’s not six. I asked you to pinpoint the chances in the video and you seem to have created evidence that’s not there.

Yes, it’s a free kick mate but you’ve shown how you’re unwilling to criticise Messi for mistakes or misses but you’ll have it open season on his team mates for missing them. The bottom line is that Messi should be viewed under the high spectre of criticism due to what is expected of him and the bottom line is you won’t even have the criticism you’d have of any other player for him.

He’s failed Argentina on a consistent basis.

The ball hit the post after being kicked by him mate. There is video evidence above which proves that.

There is 4 in the video and 2 more which were omitted for whatever reason. The Benedetto header was the best chance in the whole game so it’s bizarre how it’s omitted

Here is @Sidney 's reaction to the Benedetto chance

Here is @sidney 's reaction after the second omitted chance. Is that enough evidence mate?

No it does not. What you are claiming is preposterous. The Peru no 6 did not hit the post, it would defy the laws of physics to claim he hit the post.

What’s even more bizarre is how your claims have not stood up to the evidence.

The ball touched his foot and then hit the post mate. Are you denying that?

All my claims have been evidence based

When’s the last time you watched Argentina play?

It’s a bizarre claim to make, Messi hit the post, that is very obvious. The goal was open from 10 yards out and you’re shitting on about the Peru player hitting the post when his hole body is facing away from goal. Mad stuff but you seem entrenched to defending Messi from deserved criticisms of his continued failure in an Argentine shirt.

None of your claims are evidence based, they have failed the evidence test. Some of the chances you’ve claimed existed must have got sucked into the Bermuda Triangle as well as failing to criticise Messi for things you criticise his teammate for.

I’ve changed my mind, renaming this thread as Road to Nowhere was clearly prophetic

Are you calling @Sidney a liar mate? When’s the last time you watched an Argentina game?

No, I’m saying you’ve fabricated incidents.

You’re calling @Sidney a liar so.

When’s the last time you watched an Argentina match?

Nope.

I’ve said you’ve fabricated incidents.

Keep digging though.

Is Sidney commenting on incidents that I’ve fabricated then? That would be very strange

When’s the last time you watched Argentina play?

i watched the argies v peru match in the bombonera.
messi put on a masterclass at times

strange how a fella could have such strong opinion on a match he didn’t see

George Best was arguably the best player that ever laced up a pair of boots, cc @Rocko, and yet never won a World Cup. The current Argentinian team are truly one of the worst to represent the country, they are an embarrassment.

No he wasnt

Bumped for @Nembo_Kid and @the_man_himself

Georgie never even played in a World Cup finals.

@Nembo_Kid is frantically working out how to spin this in his favour and call you a holocaust denier.

It’s like the All-Ireland semi final all over again.
