Post a picture of your mud hut. And your trainers

What’s wrong with nice deck shoes???

Fuck you.

If you don’t have the confidence then wear something else

They’re like something the poor divils in the County Home used to wear.

That’s not very nice.

I’d have reservations about the diesel jeans and smart polo shirt combination mate, but over leather type shoes it would certainly be awkward and cuntish. Trainers would make it ok I reckon, maybe one of the canvas type numbers KP posted up at a push. I picked up a pair of brown leather work shoes in office on my recent trip into town, as I believe you may have noted. They’re not so formal that they couldn’t be worn under jeans, though not under your outfit above. I’ll post up a link when I get to my laptop later for your consideration.

What about these @Bandage

When I say smart polo shirt, I should probably say casual or smart casual at best. Would you still have reservations? I don’t mean the type you’d get in Best Menswear or somewhere like that. More the type that are designed to actually be worn with jeans but I’m struggling to get the right footwear for the jeans and polo shirt combination.

You’re not taking this task seriously. Or you’re an utter deviant.

Are we talking a Ralph Lauren type basic polo mate? The correct footwear would be some classic trainers IMO. If you need to upgrade to leather shoes (which as has been pointed out you should not as any place requiring this is a cunthole) then maybe you need to reconsider the entire ensemble as opposed to just the shoes. We might need to come at this problem from an entirely different direction. I’m sure you’ve solved many such problems by taking a similar approach in the business world.

+1. I have often passed the Kurt Geiger counter (barrup!) in Arnotts and wondered what kind of a geebag would wear those cunts of things.

Indeed. It’s not nice when the shoe’s on the other foot.

Yes, that type of polo shirt and I fear you’re correct in your assessment. However, I’m loathe to introduce shirts into my Spring/Summer 2014 Recreation Range as I’m a jeans and tshirt type of chap outside work.

No indeed.

I don’t accept the premise of the question that there is anywhere in this country that you cannot attend that you would want to attend where wearing trainers is not acceptable.

I accept on occasion you probably cannot wear trainers if going somewhere with business contacts/clients and in that situation only a form of casual shoe is required. that casual shoe is a desert boot from April to September

A nice brogue will serve the winter months or perhaps a boot but we can deal with that in the Autumn

For now got with a desert boot

Mate, as you no doubt have spotted using your business world problem solving skills, we haven’t touched on the real issue yet. You want to go to certain bars. Your current wardrobe isn’t compliant with their dress code. You need to ask yourself why you want to go to these places that are not willing to accept you as you are in the first place Bandage.

I’m currently wearing a pair of these, bro-they are extremely comfortable and I think they are a perfect solution to your quandary.

@Bandage there is a lot to be said for a nice pair of Moccasins
