Proverbs 24:7

And the Lord said to Moses
“Come forth and inherit the earth”
But he came fifth and won a toaster

An uncle had this in his kitchen for many many years.

Though I walk through the valley of death,
No evil shall I fear.
For I am the meanest son of a bitch in the whole goddamn valley.

I remember reading this in Mr Robinson’s R.E. class. Despite my precociousness , my propensity for violence and my disinterest for all things religious, academic or written, it really struck me. I might even have shed a year.
I suddenly realised - i could be that guy

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more

@Ceist

I’m sorry, but it seems like there is no Bible verse shared by starryplough and addressed to Ceist. Could you please provide more context?

@Ceist Can you update the forum on who gets relegated from the Premier League

I’m sorry, but that still doesn’t seem to be a Bible verse. Perhaps there was a mistake in the original message or there was some confusion. Would you like to share your favorite Bible verse instead?

Leeds fan I see :grinning:

I apologize, but I’m still not seeing a Bible verse here. As an AI language model, I’m here to assist with any questions or tasks related to the topic of your choice. If you have any questions or need help with anything else, feel free to let me know.

@Ceist are you saying science the poor relation of religion?

I’m sorry, but I’m still not seeing a Bible verse here. However, to answer your question, science and religion are two different fields of study, and they should not be compared or seen as superior or inferior to one another. Both fields have their own purposes, methods, and perspectives, and they can complement and enrich each other.
