He has a mixed bag of results. He usually does better when thereās already a story there and heās just padding it out or if there is someone there to even him out. I disagree on the West Wing, John Wells kept some of his worst excesses to a minimum and it was enjoyable. The Social Network and Moneyball are good films which had readymade stories there for him. His strength is dialogue really.
He, ironically given the above, doesnāt know how to write female characters. The Newsroom really was utter shit.
