Premier League 2017/18

Lovely free kick from Shaquiri, albeit with a deflection, has given Stoke the lead just before ht against Palace.

Why would anybody be watching that on such a beautiful day

Little Englanders like Matty are brainwashed.

Yep, sad to see

It fitted in nicely after the snooker mate.

Darren Moore is doing a cracking job. They would have stayed up only for employing that charlatan Pards

He’s only gone and done it again! Manager of the Season?!

A disastrous defeat for Swansea today at Bournemouth.

West Brom are still mathematically up due to that Swansea defeat.

But Southampton still have three fixtures left.

West Brom need all the following to stay up.

Win at Crystal Palace on the final day.

Swansea and Southampton to draw. This must happen.

Stoke to win at Swansea next weekend.

Southampton to take 0 or 1 point from their other two fixtures at Everton and at home to Manchester City.

Southampton finishing on 34 would mean it would go to goal difference between them and West Brom, presuming West Brom win at Palace.

Still a real long shot.

If West Brom has got Darren Moore in a few games earlier they’d have stayed up. They had a run of 5-6 games against sides down at the bottom February/March time which they did fuck all in. They fired Pardew after that, have won at Old Trafford, drew with the European Cup finalists and beaten Spurs (no great surprise there). Unbeaten in their last 5 league games.

Last minute deflected goal for Everton. Actually in the 5th minute of 4 minutes minimum of added time. Mark Hughes is seething.

The second time today West Brom survive relegation thanks to a goal deep into injury time.

Was it Bertrand or Redmond with the stupid clearance that set up the goal? Brainless.

I missed that but the closing down of the Everton lad that crosses the ball in was shocking.

Delighted for Neil Warnock and Vinnie Tan.

A man of principle and passion in an increasingly bland industry . Well done Neil .

Terrific result for Paul Clement and his Reading charges to go down to Cardiff to face a side on the cusp of promotion and secure a point that ensures Reading survival. He’s done some job in the space of a few weeks keeping Reading up after inheriting an utter mess from Jaap Stam.

Whether Cardiff City will have a South Wales derby next season is very much up in the air. Swansea have no win in their last seven and are in freefall. Back in the relegation places after yesterday’s loss at Bournemouth.

They were three points above relegation when he took over and ended up three points above relegation. He got eight points from his eight games in charge. Some job alright

The hapless Jaap Stam was winless in 11 league games (just 1 win in 18) when he was fired. Reading were tumbling down the table and would surely have been relegated if they stuck with Stam. Paul Clement steadied the ship straight away. Won his first game against QPR to end that run of 11 games without a win and also won against my own beloved promotion chasing Preston North End.

Good thing the season is only 46 games long as another one or two games would have seen Clement relegate Reading.

8 points in 8 games is an average job at the absolute most
