They were properly mugged off there. He is not good enough to play in one of the top leagues in Europe
Roberto Soldado would have been cheaper and just as good.
You must be out of clamps by now
Swansea’s problems were evident from very early in the campaign
There was only so much the Carvahal could do after the mess Clement left them in (rooted to the bottom of the table)
Not quite. @GeoffreyBoycott was going on about the great job Clement was doing the other day with his 8 points in 8 games in charge of Reading while Carvalhal has got 20 points from his 17 games in charge of Swansea and they are likely to get relegated due to their atrocious record under Clement
Swansea were sitting pretty in 13th place when they beat Sean Dyche’s high flying Burnley in mid February. Since then, Swansea have lost 5 and drawn 3 of their last 8 games under Carvalhal’s stewardship. Reports that the hapless Carvalhal will get the sack ahead of Sunday’s final game of the season against Stoke.
They had 13 points and were dead last when Clement got sacked. Amazing that Carvalhal could get that team so close to staying up
Paul Clement took over a Swansea side last season that were in an even worse position of 12 points from 19 games and bottom of the table after the mess he inherited from Guidolin and Bradley. Clement picked up 29 points from 19 games and Swansea finished 15th. Maybe the Swansea board should have shown some patience through their sticky patch this season and stuck with Clement as they struggled for goals as he tried to adapt a side that sold off Llorente and Sigurdsson last summer, who had accounted for 24 of their 45 league goals last season.
Yes Paul Clement did a good job last season, then he lost his two best players and was given nearly half a season to get it right and was replaced by a guy who did a far better job of trying to keep them up this season
Carvalhal fired. Coleman tipped for the job.
Coleman would be the perfect choice for a team that want to be relegated two years in a row.
Carvalhal cheerleaders @Cicero_Dandi and @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy very quiet. Too busy putting the boot into over achieving managers like Sean Dyche and Pochettino.
He brought Swansea from 20th to 17th and fought bravely against relegation after the mess he inherited from Clement.
I’d have Carlos back at Hillsborough to be honest
All your heroes are getting fired
agreed
Heroes?
You don’t seem to particularly rate Pochetinno yourself mate?
Iheanacho’s goal
Aubameyang got double figures in both the Bundesliga and Premier League this season. Goal machine
