Premier League 2023/2024, why do irish people follow this farmers league

Beat 4th place Villa 3-0 at Anfield. Actually they’re 5th now on GD.

A pathetic enough record if you want to win the league

Good possibility that there’s an Arsenal v Abu Dhabi Champions League semi-final.

If Arsenal didn’t have Europe I’d fancy them to take full points. Liverpool won’t make up nine goals on them. Arsenal won’t take full points though because two games against Bayern Munich and two games against Abu Dhabi will take its toll.

Liverpool’s lack of squad depth is likely to cost us. Liverpool could conceivably drop points in any game, no game is a given. Sheffield United the other night was a mighty struggle. Abu Dhabi will likely win all their games, most of them easily, and any games they don’t win (ie. Tottenham away in the second last game) will be in a scenario where they can afford to not win.

1 Abu Dhabi 89 points
2 Arsenal 85 points
3 Liverpool 83 points

Teams can sense a vulnerability in this liverpool side. Danny Welbeck could well have salvaged a draw for Brighton if his attempt didnt hit the sidenetting. I had hardly heard his name all season until that game when he tormented the Liverpool back 4. Ogbene had put Luton ahead with another gift game before that. Sooner or later these lapses will take its toll. There doesnt seem to be an easy fixture for Liverpool these days and can play down to the level of opponent. I think you’re right about the final table but think Liverpool will be a bit closer. 9 goals isnt insurmountable over 7 games but it is when you are missing a glut of chances.
Unfortunate that Sheffield United didnt show some of the resolve at home to Arsenal that they have in recent games.

It’s very hard to build defensive solidity when the rearguard has to change every week due to injury. Alisson and Konate were missed there today. Trent’s creativity would be a big addition too, even if Conor Bradley has done well in his absence.

Bradley lacks character, it’s starting to show now

Arsenal have benefitted from basically being able to pick the same team week in week out. Only Jesus has been in and out with his usual niggles but apart from that you could predict the Arsenal side for every game. His given them huge continuity.

City were De Bruyne less for much of the first half of the season and then Haaland had a few weeks out after Christmas. Few injuries in defence recently as well like Stones & Walker.

Liverpool has just been a rotating cast list of injuries. Matip out of the season. Robertson missed 4 months. TAA and Salah have played very little post Christmas. Allison out 6 weeks now. Jota out similar. And lots of other niggling ones to others.

I’m struggling to remember Liverpool’s last comfortable victory. If you’re playing to the end to hold on to 3 points then it takes it’s toll eventually. Not scoring enough goals. Get in great positions but the last pass always goes wrong.

Sorry mate but that’s how championship winning seasons are that arent pretend ones won behind closed doors

What about All Irelands?

Ah yeah but the cunts always have VAR. That usually compensates them for anything else.

Quickfire double for Newcastle through Isak and Gordon, Van der Ven on the seat of his arse as last man for both goals

Spurs have lost all the defensive mentality they’d built up under Conte

The second goal was pure soft old shite
