Price of a Haircut

I’ll just do a two all round most likely so it’s not annoying me, nothing fancy.

I can see the old fashioned buzz cut of yesteryear becoming a lasting fashion legacy of this covid era . Just as the blockhead short back and sides marked you out as a Central European on the eastern side of the 1980s divide , we will look back on photos from this era and instantly recognize photos from the 18 weeks we spent in lockdown by the array of old fashioned buzz cuts .
I for one welcome this new movement , it has a utilitarian feel about it and prevents those with deep pockets for designer quiffs lording it over the rest of us.
Middle class skinheads is what we will all become , except we will go for a more conservative blade 3 as we have a vested interest in our economy. ‘Fuck the police’ we will mutter as a squad car passes as we venture a few hundred meters beyond our 2km zone; ‘I’m a buzz cut man, don’t fuck with me’ we will say to ourselves, as passers by swerve to avoid us. Deep down we know this is because of social distancing but we tell ourselves it’s our angry buzz cut that is making them wary. ‘We own these streets, fuck the police .’

I did my own the other day with a comb and a razor and did a sterling job too I might add. Needed the missus to do the back though.

I’ve been on Amazon and boots websites tonight and they’re all sold out of hair clippers (or in one case where I did find one it wouldn’t deliver to Ireland). Seems all males around the world’s are doing DIY haircuts for a while and buying in the equipment online. Anyone any idea where one could be picked up in this climate?

Sam McCauleys online.

Buy a hair scissors and a comb

How long does the itch last when a beard is growing out? I’m about a week in now without shaving.

I gave up and shaved after 6 days last week. Too much grey in it.

I’ve got a great patch work beard, plenty of grey, a few orange streaks, mostly brown and a bit of black.

I went around 9 days earlier in this crisis and shaving was an utter bitch when it was that long.

Shaving around every 5th or 6th day now

If what I’m seeing is anything to go by, they’ll have to open the hairdressers before the pubs.

Would you normally shave mon-fri for work? If so your face is wondering what the fuck is happening here and will be agitated like mad with any beard growth.

Cut the nephews hair there. He was pleased enough.
