Depends on the time of day and who I’m with. If there’s females in our company then the lounge otherwise it’s the bar all the way. Most of the fellas in there would be fathers of friends of mine. It’s a mighty spot.
@Thrawneen, what do you make on Finnegan’s. I’m only a blow in so I’m not sure of the lie of the land. You’d see plenty of wankers in there but it does a nice pint
Never been too fond of the place though in itself it’s not too bad. It’s the wankers who populate it on busy days and nights are the problem. See also: outside the Queens on a summer’s day. I prefer to mix with the salt of the earth types who’d be in the Club, the Kings, the bar in McDonaghs or down the Cuala bar if there’s something on.
Not sure if I’m in the right thread here. However, I had a few in the Beggars Bush earlier, as usual a superb pint. But the big news is, according to the locals, the owners of The Bath have bought The Lansdowne and will be turning it into a gastro pub.
