Pro Evolution 6 Option File

Has anybody else downloaded the option file from the board?

And Rocko did you alter anything yourself?

I haven’t used it - other than 1 quick game Flano. I play on Xbox 360 which is unpatchable (until PES 2008/PES 7 comes out) and I don’t really play on the PC anymore.

Whoever made the file has made Shaun Maloney close to one of the top 10 players in the game. I played a season with Bohs and after a run of 7 wins and 1 draw began to lose much too often. I did however manage to sign Di Natale for my second season and I’m looking towards promotion now.

Pro Evo 7 Screenshots

I wonder what platform theses are from? PS would be my guess. I dont have a PS3 but the brother may be getting one but if not it’ll be PS2 version for me again

Sorry, they’re Xbox 360 screens apparently.

As a Playstation 3 owner I hope the screenshots look better than that and I hope that United are a licensed team but looking at them screenshots they aren’t.

Anyone played PES 2008 yet? PC version is sitting at home waiting for me now, thanks to the wonders of the interweb.

Its only out in shops on Friday I believe. Im so strapped for cash I cant get it anyway.

It’s only in the shops on Friday alright but less conventional means of acquisition allow you to get it earlier.

Only had time for a quick game of Pro Evo 2008 last night, and it was the PC version too (not getting the Xbox version until Friday it seems).

Positive experience thus far however. For some reason the manual didn’t arrive with my copy so I couldn’t see what was new except for:

  • most squads now seem much bigger (i.e. 25-30 players instead of 16-20) so there’s probably more players
  • still no Bundesliga which is a shame (and option files on the Xbox look like they’ll be a load of hassle)
  • the dive feature is pretty useless (not a criticism really, I’d expect it to be ineffective)
  • gameplay seems quicker than Pro Evo 6
  • not much else to say. Looks good and plays well but I didn’t assess it thoroughly.
  • beat Benfica 2-1 at the Stadium of Light. Went one up early on through a Scotty Brown goal from 40 yards: through ball from Jarosik to McDonald was overplayed and keeper came out to punt clear. He hit it straight to Brown though who returned it with interest and the ball dropped in. Second goal was a through ball to McDonald who beat the centre half, rounded the keeper and tucked it home. They got one back with 20 minutes to go (I’d withdrawn Brown, McDonald and Donati then for Hartley, Jan and McGeady).
