It might be more profitable for some pubs to stay closed and receive benefits than reopen under severe social distancing restrictions limiting numbers allowed in and therefore miniscule turnover compared to before, all the while costs will surely be dearer. So I guess a lot of pubs even if allowed to wonât be in a position to reopen.
