Benny McCabe keeping his pubs in Cork shut until July 20th.
Mr McCabe, who owns Crane lane, Arthur Maynes, Sin EĚ, Mutton Lane, The Oval, Rising Sons and Bodega, said the guidelines which restrict people for being in a pub for 105 minutes were creating a âdrinking olympics.â
The publican said he will be waiting until July 20 to open his establishments.
âWe have been closed for 14 weeks, two more wonât kill us".

He is spot on. Its only the superpubs the current regulations really suit. Let them take the heat for the first opening and learn from their inevitable mistakes and the general public reaction

I saw it myself there yesterday, even in a park, big groups getting scuttered, they would start off observing the 2m protocol, then after a few drinks they are all on top of each other, breathing on each other and rubbing off each other, single people especially are gagging to be touched and for human interaction after 4 months of house arrest
