Pubs To Frequent

Its the fucking bomb

I’ve been going to Ryan’s for years, it was my go to spot for a few quiet ones but I’ve never seen anything like last night bar hurling final weekends when Tipp are involved. As an aside it would seem Dublin bars have just given up on closing at night.

Same in the country Julio. No trouble no closing is an unofficial Garda approach I believe.

Good to see them apply a bit of cop on if that is the unofficial approach.

yeah…id say they dont have the resources for much else.

Ag society in ucd have taken the place over it’s the go two bar for them. The last 5 or 6 nights I’ve been in there’s been a que a mile long. Also it seems to be the go too place for the horses crowd after racing as well in recent times.

Are the horsey crowd not the Ag Soc?

Not nessecarily in ucd though.

I was saying on here before that I was talking to the barman in Ryans during the summer and he said they only let in UCD people on college nights as they are good country folk and never any trouble.

Peter is a top man

Peter is a sound chapter he always lets me skip the que. They’ve an Asian lad on the door too. He isn’t to be messed with it.

Frank Ryan’s on Queen Street is a lovely spot.
Friendly dog as well and a good solid toastie is only food served. Proper order.
