The upload speeds on those types of systems used be very slow. So I’d check that out.

Also the latency was very poor. Like waiting after you click something. Or talking to someone on Skype. Group meetings. All poor.

Might have improved. But check it out.

I always go into town to get one.

You can check it out. Prices are better. You can bring it back easily. Get a free cover.

No experience of swappie I’m afraid. I’d be slow to part with cash for anything refurbished personally.

Is your pal anywhere near and Imagine or Three mast? Broadband on Imagine is perfectly for me for WFH, streaming etc.

There’s a massive mast up on tonobrockey hill, but I’m not sure what it does tbh.

Refurbed or Swappie are sound.

Pay the extra few euro for the excellent condition and a new battery.

Just register for one during setup using your email

It’s not letting me register, when I press “set up for a child” it asks for my apple id which I don’t have

Are you trying to set it up for one of your kids?
You’ll need to create an Apple ID for them.
Either that or go online and setup an Apple iID for yourself and then set up the kid as a sub of your id.

I set it up for a minor but having read some of the stuff online, it was easier just to have them as being 18. Otherwise as horriblecunt says, you set your own one up first, and then you create their id as a sub off yours then

You’ll need one whale of a password for an Apple ID.
So be sure and write it down somewhere…
