Fuck it, it was worth it. Best wank of my life.
Yes.
Or alternatively you can just grab the movie file and drag and drop it into the address bar on Chrome and it will play. Then hit google cast and it should stream to your telly.
Nope, itās only the free version that you need.

This works beautifully for MP4ās but doesnāt seem to work for me for AVI files. That sound right to you, pal?
Use Plex like I told you and stop bothering us with asking about inferior solutions.
Ok chief Iāll try this again later. I signed up for it the other night on your advice but it started talking about queuing my library and upgrading my account so I got scared and closed it. You will find it hard to believe this but I am not very savvy when it comes to all things IT.
If you have plex, it means as long as your computer is on, you can stream movies saved on there through your mobile device. handy app to have, if you were into that sort of thing.
The app store is asking me for ā¬4.49 for the app-that sound right to you, bud?
ah right, iphone. probably explains all the previous questions.
I got mine for about 50c or something on some sale they did with the play store. just loked it up there and it is ā¬4 on the play store now alright.
up to you bud. would you use the phone to stream the movies off your latptop? for some it would be a bargain price, for others it would be a waste to use once and never bother again.
Here @Horsebox - what are you trying to do again? Is it just play downloaded files through a Chromecast? If it is then just download Real Player Cloud and play the files through that and cast them. If its something else then tell me, I canāt be arsed reading back a few pages.

This will probably show my ignorance now, gman but why would I need to use the phone to get from the laptop to the TV? Can I not just go laptop to TV by using the Chromecast?
Yes, Mac that is exactly what I want to do. I will also try this Real Player Cloud later also so.
Why didnāt you just say so. Real Player Cloud will do it for you and you wonāt pay a penny.
Just googled this and it looks like it might be the job. Iāll have a go off this later. Thanks, buddy.
No problem mate. Hope it stops you from being such a cantankerous cunt on here.
So stop looking on the app store for Plex and download it to your laptop. You donāt need an app.
Donāt use RealPlayer. Plex is infinitely better and far less bloated.

So much better that you canāt spell it?
Apologies, Iāve corrected my original post but will leave yours unedited as a reminder of my error.
Very good. @Horsebox - Iām also happy for you to use Plex even though Iād never heard of it before.
Some people would have their chromecast up in the bedroom or something, and the laptop downstairs, and want to watch a movie without bringing it up. just as an example. or it can be handy if you downloaded a movie to your phone to cast off it, as there are some very good apps for downloading movies to mobile devices.
The real player one is fine too. There are a fuck load of ways to do it. Just do whatever is handiest.
