Just asking as I have a cousin who is thinking of buying a house there and he’s very concerned that the kids should grow up in an area where there are no junkies hanging around the place. Very understandable.

What’s it like for pubs?I hear the Poitin Stil does a good whiskey. A friend of mine who was drinking there recently said they have a special blend, the only problem is it’s very potent and your piss can be like rocket fuel for quite a while after drinking it. Incerdibly, my friend said there was a strong smell of whiskey when he went to the toilet at 7am the next morning! I don’t believe the story myself, think he’s a liar. Sounds like a good place to drink.

Any other information worth knowing about Rathcoole?

15 coaches damaged in suspected arson attack in Dublin

About 15 coaches have been extensively damaged in a suspected arson attack in Dublin.

Gardaí are investigating the blaze at private coach hire company Duelway in Rathcoole in Co Dublin.

The fire broke out just after 5am today.

It is believed the blaze was started deliberately, as a spokesperson for Dualway said there was evidence of a break in.

Five units of the fire brigade were called to the scene and brought the blaze under control just after 8am today.

No one was injured.

Dualway employs around 90 people and has been in operation for more than 30 years.

It is thought the damage could cost the company hundreds of thousands of euro.

The scene will now be sealed off, while gardaí carry out a technical examination of the scene.

I was actually done during roadworks* when the speed limit was down to 60kph. I’m a responsible driver but going along a dualer at 60kpm. I am not ashamed to say I toast every cash camera that is burnt out.

*this amounted to a short line of cones placed on the hard shoulder.

You should have taken that to court mate.
Unless they applied to the circuit court for a reduction of the speed limit of that road to be written into some book, then speeding tickets issued for violating the reduced speed limit are invalid.
A load of people got off tickets the time of the M50 works for challenging that.
