The paste was dried Chillies, a spoon of Kashmiri chilli powder, garlic, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, star anise, peppercorns, cumin seeds, cider vinegar.

Hosin Duck Spring Rolls and a few Filo Prawns. No fucking around for three hours in the kitchen, or making a curry from scratch in a bucket.

Had a lovely halibut steak there for the dinner. Served it with a mango and avocado salsa.

It’s hardly authentic if you are using Kashmiri chili. That’s the other end of the subcontinent?

It wasnt specified in the recipe, but I always use Kashmiri chilli powder in curries as it gives a great colour.
