Jesus I thought that was a fried spud on top of the rasher. I’m beginning to question if that was even a rasher.

A gammon steak with a pinapple ring on top was proper fancy 80s food in Ireland.

Ah thank you. I wasn’t disturbed by @StoneCold ’s dinner as I had a nagging feeling I’d seen pineapple with some kind of bacon or rasher dish before. And that was it…a repressed childhood memory of mash, beans, GAMMON STEAK & pineapple.

Findus Krispie pancakes, mash & beans, or
Sausage, beans & chips, or
Lamb chop, mash & peas, or
Fish fingers, potatoes & beans, or
Green Isle/Bird’s Eye burger, mash & beans.

Back into the living room to watch the end of Byker Grove & then Neighbours to see what mischief Toadfish Rebechi was getting up to.
