Fresh pasta is a real game changer
Got a nice bit of shin beef down in Higgins’s earlier. I’ve had it on slow for the afternoon with a can of stout and miscellaneous other ingredients. I’ve the spuds peeled and I’ll have the stew with a lovely bit of buttery mash around 7.
Just put half a leg of lamb into the oven there - bit of a makeyuppy recipe with rosemary, garlic, harissa, red onions a bit of stock etc and sealed down with tin foil for a couple of hours. Looking forward to seeing what I end up with

Took this out now and it was deadly. Sieved off the juice too and it made a great sauce. Served it with some roast veg (courgette, red onion, garlic, olives, tomato) and a favourite Ottolenghi recipe of tomato and onion couscous. Big glass of Côtes du Rhône and one of the better meals I’ve had in a while
