RAVENOUS (Part 2)

Galtymore, tomorrow.

If you’re climbing from the Cahir side, the Shamrock Lounge or Cahir House Hotel will look after you.

If the weather is nice, theres a shop on the corner of the Square in Cahir that does the nicest 99 in Munster.

Cheers boss :+1:t2: we’d be passing through that way on the way eastbound home anyway.

@Corksfinedtboy The tripe in the top left is a bit different to the tripe you’d get in the English Market.

My old man used horse it into us until my mam stepped in.
Thank fuck for Kerry mams.
They do a Romanian :romania: version ( ciorba de burta)

  • stomach soup is the translation- that was enough for me to exit stage left
  • Skirts n kidneys is another abomination.

Sounds nice

Well I’ve eaten donkey 🫏
( not by choice)
In Romania :romania: in a burger bun,
With American mustard
Tasted great in 1995 until my woman informed me what I actually was eating at a roadside kiosk,
Say the few pints if Ciucas helped

( threw up my ring afterwards)

I’ll be back here to refer to the ravenous churches of Cahir @peddlerscross :ok_hand:t2: didn’t make there after.
Stopped off at Jack White’s Inn today folks. Famous for the infamous Tom Nevin murder. My word, €19 for a three course set menu! Food is top notch.

Tom Nevin

He gave poor Catherine an awful time :pensive:

Edited that, had Jack in my head. Must be from watching Ireland match

It’s unreal value. When you look at other places charging €24ish for mains I can’t figure out how they do it so cheap. A brilliant spot that always seems to be busy.

Last time I was there was just after Covid and was outside in a tent. Thought we were gonna get blown away! They’ve done an awful lot of work with the place over the last few years it seems. €24 for a peppered steak/brie/dessert (€5 extra for steak) is something else.

They must be paying the staff a pittance or cutting a corner somewhere😂 €19 for soup, turkey and ham and a brownie/ice-cream is roaster heaven.
