Ravenous

Takeaway from the Thanh Loi, Portlaoise this evening. You’ll be familiar with their fare, myboyblue?
God be with the days I’d be eating out of it after a feed of pints on a Friday and/or Saturday.
Anyway a fine portion of fillet beef in black bean sauce with those thick noodles was my choice tonight.
I’ll probably regret it later. “Chinese” takeaway lends itself to regret.

They make Monsanto look like a Health Food corporation

I did an building inspection on a Chinese take away in Galway a few years ago… It had closed 2 weeks prior to the inspection. OMFG… Rat droppings, mice droppings… Grease everywhere.

Animals.

I have a savage craving for a falafel wrap and some Italian coffee, I am just going to have to go and satisfy it

Tipped into work today to check up on things and didn’t someone leave a jar of bovril in the tea room. I hadn’t had it in years so naturally I had to try a cup of it.
I confidently predict that this is gonna be the next big tfk fad/craze. The stuff is amazing, unreal. Buy some now. You won’t regret it.

Had one at a half time of a game I recently went to, hadn’t had one in ages, magnificent.

That amazement you experienced was the buzz off the monosodium glutamate

Milanos is a grand spot for a casual feed.

What the fuck is going wrong with this place?

Not a lot really mate… Alot of kids perhaps and very loud but grand for a quick bite.

I see what you’ve done there

Would ya go away ta fuck. If I dressed it up a bit better and suggested I lob it into a nuttri bullet or some shite like that it’d be the next big thing. It was quare nice though. Ironically enough after not having it in 25+ years didn’t I encounter it on Good Friday !!
Of all the fast days … meaty goodness in a jar. Devil vs good. Was it a plant I wonder

Sure your half cracked anyway, small bit of MSG will level things up.

A kind of jambalaya I guess. Pork, chorizo, onion, garlic, chillies, rice, herbs and spices, black beans, cooked in stock. Coriander and lime to finish it. Un-fucking-real!

Jar of Franks Red Hot Sauce
5 lamb cutlets I just barbequed
1 of bottle of smithwicks pale ale.

Unreal

Aldi overload:

Specially selected sirloin barbecued after being marinated in olive oil, balsamic and steak seasoning. Sliced up on a bed of rocket, cherry tomatoes, red onion, pine nuts, Parmesan and dressing and couple of boiled baby potatoes with butter and salt. Glass of Aldi chateau neuf de pape. Sweet was strawberry cheesecake ice cream with 2 mini aeros. Few ice cold Birra morettis thrown down for the golf and boxing.

You’ll do well to stay awake for boxing after that.
