omg! did it live up to your expectations?

I’m in an other worldly state of euphoria after it. I have a feeling this will be a defining moment in my life.
From now on I will date all major events as B.C. (Before Curry) or A.C.

had it myself tonight, used 400grammes of lovely fresh king prawns, it was incredible

Incredible, as I was eating it I said to my wife, the only posisble way I could make this better was if I used fresh king prawns.

I had about 7 mince pies there with a lovely few glasses of red after the dinner…Ah Christmas time is great all the same.

Did they have a good selection of red down in the garage tonight?

I don’t know, pal, I didn’t buy it.

I had cod this evening lads. White fish is lovely but it’s usually about the accompaniment though. Try this dressing

Soy sauce
Ginger
Garlic
Olive oil
Lime
Chillis

I’ll kick the fuck out of any fucker who dislikes it.

Scallops lads. I’m not massively into shell fish but I can’t get enough of these.

Anyone recommend some nice simple scallop dishes I could throw together for herself?

Unreal here. A right feast of proper English cooking. Real comfort food

Are you a gimp or a pisstake?

Make sure you start with good quality fresh “dry” scallops, the ones preserved in brine are shit at least for this dish. Season with salt and pepper and bring to room temperature. Heat a skillet on high, add a few tbs olive oil and butter, sauté for 1 minute a side. Remove and cover with tin foil (obviously) to keep warm. Lower heat, add another tbs butter, sauté 3 crushed garlic cloves for 30 sec, add a few tbs white wine, stir and reduce for 30 sec, add tbs lemon juice and a bit of lemon zest, bring back to boil and add 2 tbs cream to finish. Throw the sauce over the scallops. Serve with creamy buttery mashed potatoes.

I fry them very quickly on a hot pan until they caramelise at the edges. I throw in a bit of prosciutto ham until it crisps up. Drizzle over a bit of balsamic vinegar, plate and throw a bit of rocket over it. Simple and delicious.

You’d want a big lump of celery thrown in there
