Clarkey and tinnion came through unscathe. 2-1 down at half time we came through 7-2. Clarkey scored to make it 3-2 but had quite a poor game. A long way from match sharpness. tinnion didn’t put a fot wrong.
Why doesn’t that surprise me. He was dreadful last week but at the same time he oozed class in many things he did. Really hoping he pulls out the full show for us tomorrow night.
My fear is that tinnion is more at home on 11-a-side.
Guys that good can adapt. Maybe it might take a couple of games for him to adjust to the pace of the 6 a side game - a bit like Larsson in Scotland.
You have played every week for a few years now so your fitness levels are not in question. You simply did not need the fitness ‘top up’ tonight. However, the more games the likes of tinnion and clarkey get the better. Winning breeds confidence too. I expect big things from both of them tomorrow night. I just hope they kept their word and went off after 60 mins or disciplinary sanctions are likely to follow.
I’m going to injure one of the opposition tonight, really pumped up for it.
Waste of time last night, played under poor floodlights with a brown ball, could hardly see it. Myself and Clarkey didn’t even break a sweat.
Great to hear the enthusiasm Tinnion. Bring on the digi-beat.
I want answers.
Why is farmerinthecity down as our 'keeper on the official astro site?
Have I been usurped in some kind of coup?
I put up the names before the first fixture and there were 2 prospective 'keepers at that time. Farmer had previously expressed interest in going in goals.
A terrible lack of confidence in my good self and I fear it might affect my performance tonight.
To put down as prospective 'keeper someone who’s been lobbed in a competitive game even though they stand at 6 foot 7 inches is a real blow to me.
