Some interesting comments by TJ and Adie Birrell in the wake of the CWC. With a good chunk of our players now playing for county sides in England and others coming to the attention of these sides we’re always going to be understrength during the summer months due to the players’ county commitments. Adie talks about changing the Irish cricket calendar around and playing the vast majority of our games in the winter when we’ll have a full complement of players. In other words going off on camps for 2/3 months and playing the likes of Bangladesh, Kenya, Zimbabwe etc in the sub-continent and Asia. It’ll be very interesting to see where Irish cricket goes from here.
