Sir yes sir
Let me see the summer transfers and I may well take that bet. Spurs chopped and changed too much last summer imo which is why they had a slow start. Lennon, Jenas and Zokora are all internationals. Malbranque is as good if not better than any of the wide palyers Arsenal/Liverpool have. I think Lee is a classy full back and Chimbonda’s not rubbish.
Zokora is a good international. Lennon is completely inconsistent and doesn’t offer much more than pace. Jenas is a poor man’s Carrick. Malbranque is decent enough but drifts out of games. The full backs are ok except Lee has a tendency to panic sometimes.
I reckon Spurs will make a string of changes again this summer.
I forgot about Chimbonda. He’s the only good player, imo, out of those mentioned.
It was fashionable in the English media to build up Lennon 12-18 months ago when they saw an opportunity to go after Beckham and try get him out of the team. I think most people have now realised that he’s a speedy kid with no touch, final ball or overall football ability.
Jenas - doesn’t really need me to give an in depth analysis of how average he is.
Malbranque - decent touch, drifts out of games, inconsistent, if he was that good then one of the top 4 would surely have come in for him.
Lee - a brutal defender. One of those modern full backs who bombs forward but has no basic defensive capabilities.
Zokora - will give him a 2nd season before writing him off. Have seen him get the run around from Arsenal’s reserve midfield twice in the Carling Cup. Embarrassed against Sevilla also. Haven’t seen much Spurs games other than that but he was awful in those games I did see.
Take the bet.
