No white smoke as of yet.
The longer it goes on, the more the possibility of an outsider being elected grows. Any tips?
My sources tell me that itâs between my tip Sean OâMalley of Boston and Jorge Bergoglio of Buenos Aires.

Has that Nigerian chap fallen out of the reckoning? I thought it was going to be a hell of a couple of months for Nigeria following on from the African Cup of Nations victory but he doesnât seem to be in the running any more.
Odi Scherer of the Diocese of Sao Paulo is a shoe in for the role of Pontiff.
Lazio fans would not be happy with a black Pope.
Peter Turkson of Ghana has split the African vote and scuppered the Nigerians chances.
Heâll have Rockoâs backing.
My fancy Cardinal Marc Ouellet of Quebec has seeming polled well and is top price 7/1 to get the gig. Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone is the big drifter out to 20/1 with PP. He must have had a poor conclave so far and looks to have been outflanked by Cardinal Angelo Scola for the crucial Italian vote.
Surely at 71 Scola is too old, what the church needs is stability. Another short term solution is not the answer.
They should just put one of these of the front door of the Vatican and be done with it to fuck.

While Ouellet, Scherer and Scola have polled well so far they wonât have enough backing and theyâll hit a metaphorical brick wall in their support, opening the way for others. Itâll come down to a race betwen a European compromise candidate and a compromise candidate from the Americas. As I have stated already the American candidate will be either OâMalley or Bergoglio.
Christoph Schonborn of Vienna is said to have made an extremely good schon in this morningâs session and I can imagine him being put forward as the European compromise candidate as I write.
We havenât had a pope with a beard for 213 years so we can safely rule out Cardinal OâMalley and Cardinal Scherer is the top dog in Latin American. They donât have the votes to push trough a compromise candidate, so rule out Cardinal Bergoglio.
What do they burn to get the respective black and white smoke??
Ballots. Two furnaces. One has chemicals. The other doesnt. Or so Iâve been told.
The last Pope before Ratzinger to resign was 1415 (although thatâs only 23 minutes ago).
A 2-0 deficit had never been overturned in the Champions League until last night.
No grey horse had won the Grand National for 52 years before last year.
The omens are lining up.
The rest of the world will line up with the compromise American candidate over the compromise European. This will be revenge for the Ryder Cup.
With regard the voting, what exactly is the process. Does there need to be a majority for the given cadinal to be elected and are there other cardinals elimated after each vote?

Two thirds majority needed, so it wonât be wafer thin as I incorrectly asserted last week.
A flood of money for Schonborn on the betting markets on the back of information from âsky sourcesâ - could be a load of papal bull though - heâs in to 6/1 from 16/1. Scola is 11/4, which coincidentally is also the age bracket in which he likes to groom children for a bit of you know what.
As a Roman and a devout Catholic, we need Tottiâs input here.
A black cardinal or a white cardinal.
