That sounds like State-run spin to me.
True.
I suppose I’ll just have to read the report in it’s entirety and form my own judgement
I thought Dobbo rattled O’Brien on the Six One news earlier. Worth watching.
What is Sarah Carey laughing at on Prime Time? There’s nothing remotely funny about the questions being asked of her, not even the one that included an excerpt of the report stating that she lied to the tribunal.
Sarah Carey making a show of herself.
Sarah Carey thinks someone independent should look into the matter. Sam Smyth points out that that’s happened already. A High Court judge looked into the matter.
She’s fairly inconsequential in the scheme of things though. WTB, I know you’re not a fan of Sam Smyth, but I find him very good on tribunal matters. This is a massively important day for the State I think. Very strong language used in the report. I really hope prosecutions follow though. I fear they won’t.
Speaking of which (and slightly off topic), can you be prosecuted for perjury before a Tribunal? If so, can Bertie be done for that since it’s been proven that he lied about the currency of his deposits in his evidence?
Gay Mitchell making a bollix of himself now. Nothing new there.
I never realised what a cunt she was. This is some snake-put of a country. They’re everywhere.
Her columns in the Irish Times are pretty damn awful. They’re either a defence of O’Brien or some utter boring chattering class shite.
Jeez Fine Gael coming out of this horribly. They should really just hold their hands up rather than come out with these half apologetic utterances and muddying the waters like Mitchell just did. Pretty pathetic.
Yup, agree entirely. Can’t understand why they haven’t had senior party figures all over the television stressing 1. What happened was utterly despicable 2. While Lowry has long been thrown out of the party, the party itself did serious wrong here. An internal investigation will take place to see who was responsible for initially accepting the Telenor donation and appropriate action will be taken. 3. Time to look at how political parties are funded, and try to move that part of the debate on to that issue.
German housewives lecturing the Irish on Prime Time now.
And an economist with the fakest Amish beard I’ve ever seen
Indeed, an utter prick of a man. He is on record as saying he’d prefer to see a FG president in the Aras rather than the best candidate
Only in academia could you get away with that beard. The ‘Germans’, as in the majority of the spokesmen we hear from are being fairly hypocritical about the nature of the bailout deal. Very misleading to refer to the deb as ‘Ireland’s’ when it was high risk private ventures that they leant to. It can be difficult to get the Germans to see reason though.
Sarah Carey on Prime Time tonight. Squirm-vision.
I see the Commissioner is looking at the report - what chance some criminal prosections and those cunts O’Brien and Lowry going to the big house?
