i would agree with them having a puncher’s chance also
Their minds will be on Sunday.
yep agreed, the only negative for Ireland is that Spock is in charge
Yes - if Port win or draw tonight a draw will do them next day out . Regardless there is risk
Portugal just need to avoid defeat tonight and on Sunday to top the group. They might be cagey enough against us and settle for a 0-0, 0-1, 1-1 type affair. We need to see if we can unsettle them. The game is about being aggressive, being effective, winning the ball, getting on with the play.
Do Portugal need to win tonight?
@peddlerscross, there’s meant to be torrential rain for around an hour or two from 6pm. Buy a cheap little brolly in the Spar in Heuston Station when you get off the train. You’ll need it walking to the ground and you can discard it then.
Can see Portugal taking lead
Sitting back then as they know we are unlikely to score 2 and limit risk of bookings
Duffy header in 84th minute, ties it up
Everyone leaves relatively happy
We need to inflict ourselves on them
Are you boys suggesting we should, put them under pressure?
I’m up already.
Lovely Autumn sunshine in South Dublin. I’ll be heading into town in an hour or so. I’ll pick up a brolly along the way.
lads
advice needed
i will be bringing my 7 year old into the game , we will be driving from Northern Meath as opposed to North kildare
He is 7, there is school friday and he has a spelling test that he needs to get 10/10 in
my plan
- drive to connolly, park there
- train to ground
- stadium
thats ok - its the way home tho…and doing the connolly thing all again
would i need my head examined to park a car near the aviva and just drive in the whole way with no train?
sound lads
I’m probably looking too much into it but they put a clip out at the Aviva last night doing crossing, shooting, drill looked like working from positions.
Doherty, McGrath, Stevens, Ogbene, Robinson all working together…
Here is the clip…
there’s a lovely photo of spock and coleman on the back of the indo
I’ve parked in or around Mount Street a few times for internationals and got away quick enough. Go out by the South Circular or Thomas Street to the Chapelizod Bypass
We’ve some inexperienced Spanish official in charge tonight.
Would never have happened under John’s watch.
`thanks stone cold
Can you fire up a list of referees that officiated Irish games and their experience before taking the whistle in Irish games against top tier nations?
Pivot tables preferably please
We need to get stuck in from the start.
yep… its the small things you see . like making a 5 team group have a playoff spot for third place and being redrawn to avoid germany and holland…and azerbaijan where they gave us gibraltar
lest we forget, etc
keith Andrews cc @Big_Dan_Campbell can be heard saying “GED IIIN” post CR7’s second strike there
Does anyone remember the time Keith Andrews called @RaymondCrotty a “doughnut” at the then team hotel in Portmarnock during Trap’s era?
