Gallagher, McGee, Kavanagh, McFadden and Toye are all well in their 30s.
Their time has come, a few of these lads were shot a few years ago but that’s what happens when you play in a genuinely competitive province and have to hit the ground running from May every year.
Kerry have done very well to keep the likes of Marc O’Se and O’Mahony playing into their mid 30s, then again they know they can have them put their feet up and mind themselves until late July/August every year as there’s nothing in Munster.
All? Other than Gallagher there’s be no one going due to injury.
Lacey has issues but he’s still playing and that more down to the years on his clock and being constantly targeted that anything McGuinness did with them.
No, i remember all of them talking about back issues at one time or another or being reported out.
And Lacey told me himself of his issues
The bottom line is they are crocked as a unit.
I have. He came to a conference and workshop i hosted last year. We are friends on social media. We work in same industry blah blah blah. Its not that big a deal, he is just a bloke. And he wouldn’t be talking out of school either.
Just putting the training done (which brought great success) and the injuries now. Too many cooincidences.
Its the reasons they are citing. They only play 6 games for 6 months some of them, they should be in incredible nick. You never hear of boxers pulling hamstrings or doing ACL’s in non-contact siutaions. Yet they train more and play less.
The only fact here that only one of the 5 retirees (all in their 30s) is doing so due to injury flies in the face of the absolute nonsense you are spouting.
