Paul Flynn

Disappointing that Paul didn’t release his statement through the GPA.

6 All Irelands, 10 Leinsters, 4 Leagues and 4 All Star awards.

I’d take that.

Pound for pound one of the best footballers in Ireland between 2009 and 2015.

Return of Dermo prob made decision easier for him.

Is Connolly returning?

What year was that quarter against Tyrone where he gave a master class?

2011 ?

Great player, gave his all in every game. Pity he couldn’t see out this championship.

I expect there will be a few more Dublin players calling it a day after the championship.

Cant spell “elite” without “Paul Flynn”

One of my favourite bogballers. Had bags of skill and is a sound skin as well.

The Indo led with a headline along the lines of “4 time all star Flynn retire”. Would’ve thought the 5 All Irelands was the more notable achievement.

Six

By god, did I just make a mistake on the INTERNET?:scream:

When one thinks of half forwards in the modern era he was the best

Flynn, Galvin & Dooher the 3 that spring to my mind

Use that though and it would look to be of similar importance to “5 time All-Ireland winner Darren Daly retires” whenever he decides he has had enough of watching matches from the Croke Park dugout. Flynn was a great bit of stuff, he had the typical athleticism of a Dub but natural football ability too.

To who?

Daly & Flynn are brother’s in law

Informative. Flynn himself married a Dublin ladies county player as well, playing Gaelic isn’t the only rural tradition kept alive by the offspring of Dublin gardai and teachers.
