No one saw that coming.
The undertakers will swallow half and kick on half before eventually kicking on the full amount in due course

That’ll be just passed onto the bereaved family. What are they going to do, not put the notice up on RIP? It has some monopoly on the market, plus it’s as popular to those over 60 than TFK is to us.
A death notice in the paper is not free. Why should RIP be any different?
R.I.P off
It’s about time they started charging.
Was there not already some charge to undertakers?
The lads who want everything for nothing won’t like this. They’ll start looking for it on IPTV and won’t find out about the funeral til the months mind
A fee of 100 quid is a lot from zero though…
‘You cant even die in this country any more Joooooeee…’
The Irish times own it now.
€100 is nothing for any advert like that.
Should be easy enough to startup an alternate website with a minimal cost plus advertising.
Make it competitive at least.
This will be a great excuse not to go to funerals.
Kill off granny now theeeeerrrre
Whodiedtoday.ie
They were saying on the radio that the paper is 300-500 now.
13 euro some nogra undertaker said on rte earlier
I think my fathers notice was €450
Death notices are a pure sham.
I had a look there and realrip.online is available from 4.50 for the year. I’ll do one notice for 60, two for a ton.
For the Irish Times print I wouldn’t be surprised given the demographics. The classifieds at the back wouldn’t be cheap either.
There’s still a good bit of value to physical print with ABC1s. RIP.ie is the ITV of death notices.
Des Lynam - It’s a beautiful day?
Hardly funeral etiquette
