I actually don’t mind stuff like that. If you want to pay 7 euro for an éclair or queue up for 2 hours to buy a donut in Blanchardstown then you deserve to be separated from your money. And probably your head from your neck too.

I don’t understand people who complain about prices when it’s discretionary spend and it’s known before you spend it how much it is.
People stop spending and the market will sort out the prices.

That was my point if you want to spend 7 quid on an éclair knock yourself out. It’s the non discretionary stuff in Ireland that boils my piss. In Spain at the moment and I’m laughing when I get to the checkout here. At least half the price on everything and a third of the price on booze (discretionary obviously). I know it’s not apples with apples but still. Better public service over here too. Transport, health, things like free bins. Fuck knows where are taxes are going.
