Saudi Arabia have beaten Japan 1-0 to qualify.
Australia must now come through a play-off against Syria and then another one against the fourth placed North American team, which could well be the USA.
Iceland 2-0 up at home to Ukraine in a key qualifier in Group I.

Some very interesting stuff happening in the Americas.
The USA scrambled a 1-1 draw in Honduras with an 85th minute equaliser. A draw leaves them ahead of Honduras on goal difference for the third automatic qualifying spot as it stands right now, but Panama can leapfrog ahead of them later tonight with victory at home to Trinidad and Tobago.
The US have been a mess in this qualifying campaign.
Chile lost 1-0 in Bolivia and they’re in desperate trouble now.
What makes it worse for them is that Peru beat Ecuador 2-1 away to go ahead of Chile and into an automatic qualifying spot, and effectively eliminate Ecuador.
Argentina can overtake Peru if they beat Venezuela now - it’s 0-0 after 33 minutes.
Paraguay are another team coming with a late surge and they’ve just kicked off against Uruguay in another massive game.
Colombia drew 1-1 with Brazil earlier.
