Road to Nowhere 2018

If we win both games are we definitely in a play off?

Yes.

Slovenia getting the draw in Wembley would actually have been slightly better for us as they would have been on the same number of points as Slovakia and would have had more to play for.

They still theoretically have a chance of getting second in the group but may feel they are effectively out now.

Conceding a late goal tonight will be a demoralising factor for them, I imagine.

Goal difference?

They are embarrassing the country in the qualifiers, isn’t that enough.

Why would singing a song of loyalty to a German woman upset the Germans?

Fellas over in Russia with Merkel thinks we’re working signs the fucking gombeens singing shoes off for the boys in green sher we might get hammered but aren’t we great craic some supporters fuck off

It rarely hindered them when they played England over the past 50 years .

Go straight out after work mate?

The country is booming again mate . The Merkel flags are old news .

No

A man’s head would be in a bin trying to work out all these permutations

Yeah it’s a bit messy for the moment, will be a lot clearer all the round 9 games are completed

That’s what I mean - it appears to inspire them rather than hinder them!

No I’m at home all evening

I"d hazard a guess the majority of the German starting XI didn’t give a fiddler’s fuck whether they played GSTQ or the Sash , Danny Boy or even The Soldier’s Song .

Yeah, you’re probably right.

Half of Peru seems to have descended on Buenos Aires for tonight’s critical game. There were thousands of them at the airport yesterday to greet the squad arriving. Kick-off is 12.30am Wexford Park time so I hope the nightwatchmen blog it.

Peru have brought their own water bottles to Argentina for fear of being drugged by the Argentines. This is proper football

Venezuela 0 Uruguay 0 FT.

A win tonight would have clinched qualification for Uruguay but it’s almost impossible to see them not get over the line.

They have Bolivia at home in the final match which should be an almost guaranteed win.

Peru and Argentina have a history .
