that game fitted the exact pattern of every game they have played since they O’Neill made them very very difficult to break down, they sit back , absorb and nick one on a break or a set piece,
id have 0 faith in the swiss closing this out, absolute 0

I don’t think they were that difficult to break down though. They were ragged at the back in open play, particularly as the game went on. Swiss should have scored a couple more. It’s not over but I think there was another goal there for Switzerland at the end if they went for it.

As I pointed out some weeks ago, the skids will be greased for Switzerland and Italy to qualify.
That penalty decision last night is evidence of this.
