Road to WrestleMania XXIX

The preview really whets the appetite

Some great stories, Harley race being pulled over by the cops while sodomising a midget, Psycho Sid threatening to quit unless he got all of softball season off. Chyna taking 6 months off to get her jaw reduced and Cornette booking her for an appearance at a shopping Mall the week after surgery. Magic.

Releasing a statement disavowing the documentary before it lands.

Ah this is gonna be class

Listening to some of Kurt Angle’s stories are just insane

Where could someone find these?

His Joe Rogan podder is unreal

The Benoit story, horrible and all as it is, is absolutely fascinating too. A real sign of what can happen when a brain is beaten up

Whatever about the roids, what happened to Owen hart should’ve seen people in jail for a long time

The story about Owen Hart breaking Austin’s neck is mental. Like he totally ignored him and just did what he wanted. Never apologised either.

Tommy Dreamer at one stage planning to legitimately murder Paul Heyman live on PPV and seemingly being seen as reasonably sound of mind nowadays by wrestler standards is mental stuff.

Luckiest man alive, that fucker never drew a dime

I was a huge Sabu diehard myself. He showed that you could skip the absolute basics if you were willing to paralyze yourself in the process. Fairly certain he was Italian rather than Middle-Eastern to make it even funnier.

Lovely fella from what I’ve heard of him in interview. Was too broken up by the time he got to the Fed. Think him and RVD were stopped in a car smoking weed when RVD was champ and that was effectively it for him. Sensational talent. Think he was The Sheik’s nephew, which was a double edged sword as Sheiky was a fucking dog and Sabu was the opposite.

They all are. My favourite Rogan episodes are when he has former wrestlers on. The Kurt Angle interview is great

3 episodes in. Mild enough stuff so far in comparison to what I expected and an interesting insight into Vinces thought process. Confirms the belief most have that the most important person in the world to Vince is himself. I remember setting an old video recorder to record WCW every week when I was in late primary school / early secondary school as it was on ITV or Channel 4 where as RAW was on Sky Sports which we didn’t have. Never realised at the time that WCW was pummelling the shit out of WWE in TV ratings.

Its not quite the hatchet job on Vince I thought it would be. He’s portrayed as much of the cunt you expect him to be. Maybe that’ll change.

Was disappointed myself. I felt like the flow of things was very weird in that it would only briefly cover something awful like the ringboys scandal or Owen Hart’s death before going into unnecessarily long and boring detail about the Monday Night Wars. If I’m sat down to watch a supposed hit-piece on McMahon you better believe I don’t want two hours of Eric Bischoff’s smug head making excuses for his own failings.

Is there a big crossover between lads who watch wrestling and the ones who play video games

I’d say so :man_shrugging:
