Robert Millar
I’m reading the book at the moment “In search of Robert Millar” by Richard Moore. Excellent read so far. The rumours of him getting a sex change is b0llix. Something that the tabs put out about him. When I finish the book I’ll give you all the lowdown.

Was a big fan of cycling in the 80’s and 90’s but drifted away from it when the whole drugs issue came to a head. Millar was class, still the only native English speaker to win the KOM jersey in the Tour de France. Should have won the Tour of Spain too if it wasn’t for those pesky Spaniards.
I’ve been reliably informed the rumours aren’t bollox. Were you too busy changing nappies to give us the lowdown?

Something like that Thraw. Though if he had the change back in 07 sure we won’t know

It’s all the one to us. He can do what he likes. He taught Stephen Roche how to climb.

Yep, fair enough. I’ll have to try get some DVDs of the 80s tours sometime.

I just re-read Breaking the Chain by Willy Voet. Twice actually. There’s so many incredible things in that book. For instance, the team soigneurs and mechanics indulging in pot belge or amphetamines almost as much as the riders. Or having the effects of Clenbuterol being tested out on himself, in the name of team research. I’d love to see what he thinks these days. Delighted I’m sure that Armstrong eclipsed Festina in the notoriety stakes.
