Ireland’s early burst of enthusiasm has fizzled out. Early yet I know but there are signs of this going the same way as the Luxemourg game. We’re like a shit version of Solskjaer’s Manchester United. Better away from home when playing against decent teams on the back foot, but without the creativity or know how to break down teams on the front foot, teams who would be considered around or lower than our level.

Connolly’s touch is so poor, it really lets him down.
Adam Idah is like Niall Quinn at his best the way he can hold up and bring others into play. A pity the lads aren’t on his wavelength
