It seems to be a midfield diamond with Mulgrew anchoring it, Biton and Ledley in front of him and then Brown at the top of it with licence to support Pukki and Forrest. Forrest is playing through the middle off Pukki. The full backs will need to provide the width.

Hasn’t made much difference to our passing game. Still struggling to move it at any sort of pace through midfield.

Couple of better moves last couple of minutes with midfielders moving it to full backs in space

Decent cross from Izzy with his weaker foot. Virgil has been winning lots of headers in the opposition box all season do he was due a goal.

Playing really well now. Great pace and movement to our attacks.

Forster saves well from Quinn but Sproule taps home the rebound. Ledley and Virgil didn’t follow up on the initial shot.

I like Pukki. Not sure he’ll ever score an abundance but he’s a tidy player to partner a more goalscoring striker. Similar to Stokes really.

Decent header from Biton turned over. He’s done well too. Protected in a strong midfield but he’s tidy on the ball.

Two good goals and great to see Ledley back 100%. He was also involved with Virgil’s first goal cos it was his superb ball to Izzy from midfield that it came about from …he should have started on Wednesday against Ajax, was missed cos we only started playing when he came on!

Pukki not sharp enough there when half played in.

I think Biton will prove to be a very good player too, decent signing.

Can’t understand him ever not starting when he’s fit. I didn’t agree with it last season when we had Wanyama, it’s even more inexplicable now.
