Ross County v Celtic

Rogic rested too.

Scales in.

Juranovic in an advanced role.

Abada the emergency striker.

My goodness. So Turnbull back to midfield?

Abada through the middle I’d imagine?

Good opportunity for Scales.

Yeah I expect so.

Other option would be Juranovic playing on the right of a midfield 3 and Turnbull up top with Abada and Monty out wide.

The way the team is named on the Twitter feed kind of hints at that though I doubt it.

I’m not overly optimistic here. Tough game away.

A two goal lead at half time is a must.

Yeah I don’t think so either. It might be that Juranovic is a bit deeper than normal and Turnbull has more license to get forward but I think it’s Juranovic playing as a makeshift right sided forward.

Good save from a Bitton header from a corner. First real concerted spell of possession before that. County had started with a high tempo.

Abada is upfront btw. Montgomery and Juranovic on the flanks.

Cracking play by Scales.

Smashing run. Huge goal.

That was a very good half.

Difficult start where it looked very even but we started to move it really well before the goal. As ever, a second goal would make a big difference to our comfort.

Montgomery looks to have lost all confidence. He’s very tentative and hesitant on the ball. Juranovic has been wasteful with crosses on the far side but his general link up play has been good.

Agreed on both counts. Montgomery is a complete passenger and he’d be very lucky to make the second half. The only thing in his favour would be team balance, although Taylor or Scales could in theory play in that advanced role. Bitton’s having a very good game and seems to have Ange’s trust. Didn’t foresee that happening when he stupidly got sent off in that first European qualifier against Midgetland. CCV having another very solid/forceful outing too.

Scales should be ahead of Taylor in the pecking order.

Abada has probably looked better tonight through the middle than he has on the right in recent times.

Outstanding block from Ralston.
