Roughest pub you've ever been in

Yeah I know. I thank my lucky stars every day.

I have lived quite a sheltered life you may have realised.

The Sunset House just up the road is a lovely spot. Venture in and there’s a good chance the sun will be be setting on your days on this planet.

    the bog is some kip…
there was a mill up there years ago and in all the commotion someone made off with the smokes machines !the Viper was meant to be running the bog last i heard…
what brought you into that part of Ballyboden Sid ??

the Def Judge that used to be on the quays was one of the roughest kips I was ever in…fookin zoo…full of the Oliver Bonds massif …

I played a gig there

Went into the Towers in Ballymun in first year in college. Once the lads realise you’re only a few students looking for cheap drink they don’t care about you and leave you on. Not the place to be hanging around at closing time though.

The Village Inn in Balally shopping centre. More of a shithole than roughest but have seen a fair few lads getting thumps outside it when I used to live near it.

Got stuck in traffic one weekend heading to Wexford down the back road so went into the Jobstown Inn for a piss. Probably the roughest out of the 3 of them. An awful shithole. I’d say it would be a lot rougher if it wasn’t beside a main road.

Bar 51 on Haddington Road. Kip.

:o :o :o :o never would have guessed

Been in there once or twice, it’s an early house. Used to be anyway.

Which place is this, Mattie Murphy’s???

Is Mattie Murphys not a good bit down the street (on wickham street I think?)

There are two early houses either side of the trainstation…One is Matt Murphy’s,can’t think of the name of the other one…

The Three Crowns?

I will be up that side of the town tomorrow morning, i shall do a bit of reconnaissance

We stopped in a pub in Castleisland one day on the way to Killarney, it was about 2pm on a Saturday and somebody had already taken a shit in a urinal

The George in Dublin. Wandered in there one Sunday afternoon with the brother, it seemed a nice enough place. But we felt very intimidated by all these tall men in leather with moustaches checking us out. “Bikie bar” says the brother,“we better scarper”. Glad we did, can’t imagine what would have happened to us if we stayed on.

They probably sussed ye were yuppies…

Well we did have our Dubarry’s and Dockers on Dunph. We beat a hasty retreat and our driver quickly transported us to the Malahide Yaucht Club, where we regaled the committee with tales of our derring do.

Failing that, Scruffy Murphy’s in Sydney on a Saturday night. Its like Coppers after an AI Qualifier double header, except with twice as many Tipp cunts and biffo’s. Rough.

spot on dunph…great call…thats exactly what they thought …you absolute fuckwit…

go fuck yourself
