Roy Keane - Sky Sports Pundit / Walkers Leprechaun / Adidas Champion

Sure Steven Kenny couldn’t kick a ball, but at least she tried- and obviously will / did pick up a bit on the way, never had a hurley ( competition wise)in my paw till I went North but ended up playing senior for years and coached it full time in various schools in Derry

I’ll be interested to see how often Keane actually appears though

Will it be every week, will it every fortnight, or every month

His punditry is very much of the pub talk, opinion based “in my day” genre

That’s hard to keep up on a weekly basis

Weekly pundits like Neville and Carragher actually have to do some work

Keane’s success as a pundit up to now has been based on the relative infrequency of it

If you throw in hand grenades on a weekly basis they become subject to the law of dimishing returns

Dunphy learned the art of timing his grenade throwing while developing a decent bread and butter, non-hand grenade schtick, a B game

That says more about senior hurling in Derry!

Na just me,mediocre at best, but to be fair our club “Na Magha” have a fair sprinkling of under age/ minor and seniors on the Derry panel, lot overcome right through the troubles+ Derry city’ FC s success but still plugged onIMG_20190914_210625

To be honest this should remain Roy’s employment in the soccer industry . Frankly his lack of real people skills means the punditry will be his thing .

I like him on the box,not a yes man ------ yet

Between keane and souness there is going to be fireworks on sky sports it’s a given.
Its just a case of when it happens.
What defines a great footballer ?
Medals and being a team player and busting your liathroids to win at any cost none of these you cannot deny keane of doing.
As for a salesman destroying him in a Scottish cup match the man was 34 had been waiting months to find a club after his contract was torn up and just the case of a old ACL injury catching up on him and age.
I’m not a united fan in fact I’m a liverpool fan but you cannot deny he was a good solid performer who more often than not performed.
He dragged united to titles by not accepting mediocrity and pushed players to give that extra 10%.
Football is a simple game made complicated by idiots I believe comes to mind.

That’s absolute bollocks. Professional footballers are not motivated by other professional footballers. They’re motivated by contracts and personal desires. Keane could dictate the pace of the game, better than most midfielders, but to think he could motivate a squad of elite footballers and to put a number of 10% extra on it, is absolute bullshit

@Dubhub point is fair here. Carragher won fuck all except a flukey CL. Roy Keane’s Man Utd swept the boards with him. What does Carragher know about winning the league? The big stupid red face on the illiterate scouse mug

No point in trying to put your point across in dribble as I have pointed out roy was a good baller.
Also roy is bang on about liverpool nearly winning a title and not getting across the line.
I suspect you are a united supporter who has been reduced to watching utter shite from a poxy team with a clueless manager and is wallowing in your own shite due to the above mentioned.
Read twice if ur unsure of a post

You’ve worked yourself up into an awful state. Carragher won fuck all as a player, Keane did. My “support”’ of any team is irrelevant. 10%, you halfwit.

99.9% of footballers win fuck all — we’d be listening to the same few wankers if it was just down to lads that won leagues — Souness is as decorated as Keane as a player and had far more success as a manager … Does Souness’ opinion trump Roy’s ?

The ultimate example of this was Dick Clerkin talking about what’s required on All Ireland day.
