Roy Keane - Sky Sports Pundit / Walkers Leprechaun / Adidas Champion

Who would he compare to in the modern game? Ngolo Kante? Saul Niguez? Don’t think there’s too many midfielders like him. Shades of Jordan Henderson from 19/20 season except over a much more prolonged period?

Fernandinho would be the closest in my opinion. Sets the tempo, bit filthy, drives the team on

Was thinking Fernandinho myself but Keane scored more goals didn’t he?

He did early on in his career. Fernandinho scores a few

Keane did remark in the book about the quality of Hibs midfielders being one of the things about the SPL which surprised him.

Ah in fairness all joking aside Roy keane was a very good player

Lads. Like him or loathe, Keane was Utds and Irelands’s best player for a number of years. he was consistently consistent. A chip on his shoulder but shur he’s from Cark, doesnt take away from the player he was. not blessed with skill but dominated far more skillful players. best Irish player I’ve seen bar Paul Mcgrath and by god the 2002 WC qualifiers we were full of winners and he drove that

Robbie was a journeyman.

For Man Utd?

Duffer is seething

Robbie wasn’t lucky enough to be around when united could dominate everyone else financially. Check the net spend.

68 international goals for Ireland is one of the greatest achievements in world football
