McAteer was much better for Ireland than Keane.
Keane probably has a better club record though.
Similar standard players overall, albeit different midfield positions.

Despite the Donegal catch element to that post an oft forgotten fact about Keane is that he was Irelands official player of the tournament in usa 94.
